Greek Life is known for the friendships it creates, but there is so much more to it then that!  Here are the top ten reasons why YOU should go greek!

80% of Greek Life is involved in at least one activity outside of their fraternity or sorority membership! Many are involved in three or more!

Of the top 50 corporations in America, 47% are led by a member of Greek Life.

On top of all the great social interaction you will be experiencing in college, sorority membership provides you with fun social events.

Being a part of a Greek organization provides you with the opportunities to be a leader of your peers (which consequently opens the door for more leadership opportunities!). Over 85% of student leaders on 730+ campuses are Greek. This year's Student Body President and Vice President, Senior Class President and Leader of the Pack are all members of Greek organizations on our campus! 

5. Unique Housing Options

25 of NC State's Greek organizations maintain a chapter house, 13 of which are on campus. It sounds cliche, but you'll never have another chance to live with 40 of your closest friends.

6. Academic Support

Greek Life is held to high standards of scholarship excellence. Overall, 55% of Greek Life has a GPA higher than the all-campus GPA at NC State.  Each sorority chapter has members there to help you reach your academic potential!

The tradition of Greek societies has been around since the 1700's! The ritual you experience as a fraternity or sorority member will stick with you for a lifetime.  

8. Connection to the Community Through Service

Every sorority on NC State's campus has a philanthropy (or several!) that they support. The average sorority woman serves upwards of 12 hours of community service per semester. Over $190,000 is donated to charity by members of NC State Greek Life every year!
